Communicate Confidently through Difficult Discussions

with Samantha Tyler;

Brief Synopsis of Program: Participants will learn practical steps on how to prepare for, initiate, and engage in difficult conversations that involve high stakes outcomes, opposing opinions, or strong emotions. Participants will practice keeping relationships in tact while effectively communicating their needs in the workplace

Learning Objectives:

  1. Gain confidence to initiate difficult conversations
  2. Ability to identify needs of self, others, and the organization
  3. Ability to value and consider others' perspective
  4. Implement a plan of action
About our Speaker: Samantha began her HR career in 2007 and has worked in a variety of industries including transportation, engineering, and education.  Currently, she serves as the HR Director for Evangel University.  Samantha also holds a Masters of Organizational Leadership from Evangel University and is SHRM certified.  Additionally, Samantha has served in various positions on the SAHRA board since 2013, including 2 years as President.
