That Was Then and This Is Tomorrow – What’s New and Can Be Expected in Employment Law

Brief Synopsis of Program:

This talk covers new and upcoming legislative developments in employment law at both a state and federal level. It will also cover how the Supreme Court’s recent ruling overturning Roe v. Wade may cause a ripple effect on employers in leave and accommodation laws.

Learning Objectives:

1. Participants will learn how the overturning of Roe can raise a whole host of concerns regarding compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, and the Family Medical Leave Act, as well as any state law corollaries;

2. This program will allow participants to review important labor and employment law developments expected over the second year of the Biden-Harris Administration.

3. The attendees will learn and discuss what all HR professionals have seen and can expect in 2022 (and beyond) with regard to remote work arrangements, legislation, OSHA regulations, CDC guidelines, other legal developments, and compliance issues at both the state and federal levels.

4. By the end of the session, participants will be equipped and energized for implementing their organization’s compliance action plan to successfully navigate the anticipated legal landscape as we continue with 2022 and enter 2023.
